Christopher A. Lamiero
Founding Attorney
I was born and raised in Alameda County. I grew up in San Leandro, graduating in 1982 from what was then Marina High School. I proudly supported my way through college and law school as a member of Teamsters Local 70, in Oakland. During my years as a Teamster, I handled freight and drove trucks, working for Sea-Land Service, UPS, Arkansas Best Freight, Northwest Trucking, Willig Trucking, Lucky Stores, Union Pacific Railroad, and many other Alameda County Transportation companies.
After graduating from law school and passing the California Bar Exam, I began my legal career in the Alameda County District Attorney's Office, where I remained for over 21 years. While there, I prosecuted some of the most serious, high profile felony cases in the county. I then spent several years as a prosecutor in the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office. In my nearly 25 years as a government prosecutor, I came to understand the invaluable contribution to our way of life made by the criminal defense bar. Moreover, I came to see that there is no greater guardian of personal liberty in our society than the criminal defense attorney.
I have decided that I will spend the balance of my professional career fighting for the rights of those accused of criminal wrongdoing. I have seen firsthand the cold indifference of our criminal justice system. I've seen the loneliness and desperation of countless, good people caught up in the machinery of that system. I look forward to doing all I can to help those caught in its crosshairs.
